Responsibilities:

Know how to interpret one-lines, three lines, DC schematics and wiring diagrams
-
Perform testing/routine maintenance of relaying (electro-mechanical and micro-processor).

Perform testing of power line carrier (RFL, PowerComm, Pulsar, Trench)
-
Perform troubleshooting and repair of substation relaying and control equipment
-
Write procedures, test plans and/or switching
-
Plan, schedule, and complete test activities efficiently, safely and without service interruptions
Education:
-
Associate of Electrical Engineering Technology or the equivalent specialized training in system protection
-
or Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Work experience:

Hiring all levels of work experience

Qualifications:
-
Be familiar with 3 phase relay test sets (Doble, Omicron)
-
Results-oriented; capable of scheduling and completing testing with minimum supervision

Understand and follow applicable clearance procedures and safety practices
-
Quickly learn and apply test procedure for various types of substation equipment
-
Self-motivated
-
Good analytical and problem solving skills
-
Exercises good communication, organizational and time management skills

Ability and willingness to work out of town

Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
