Role Overview

We are hiring an Entry-Level Substation / Power Plant Electrical Engineer for a full-time, on-site position. You will work at substations and power plants throughout Georgia, assisting with protective relay testing, AC/DC circuit verification, and troubleshooting activities. This role involves statewide travel and exposure to critical electrical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities (What You’ll Learn)
  • Assist with protective relay testing and commissioning

  • Perform AC/DC circuit checks and verification

  • Learn to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring schematics, and one-line/three-line diagrams

  • Support troubleshooting and repairs under the guidance of senior engineers

  • Help develop test plans, procedures, and technical documentation

  • Follow and learn site-specific safety protocols

  • Travel to substations and power plants across Georgia

Who Should Apply
  • Recent graduates with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field

  • Entry-level candidates with little to no prior field experience

  • Motivated, curious, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working on-site and traveling statewide

  • Valid driver’s license
